RECAP | Factory Tour to Chongqing ASK & SACE, Nov 14th

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to share with you that on November 14th, 2024, the highly anticipated initiative Factory Tour to Chongqing ASK & SACE Roadshow in Chongqing was successfully held at Chongqing ASK Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd (Building 4, Runzhou Industrial Park, Tongda Road, Yubei District, Chongqing). As an important part of the series of activities in the southwest region, the event was jointly organized by CICC, Chongqing ASK Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd, and SACE, strongly supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) of the CICC and also Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

At the beginning of the event, the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing Fabio Schina, delivered an enthusiastic opening speech. He extended warm congratulations on the successful holding of the event, thanking CICC for the proactive iniziatives and work done in Chongqing. He then emphasized that, following the successful visit of Italian Prime Minister Meloni and President Mattarella to China, China and Italy have reinforced their strategic cooperation agreement – reaching significance, which has undoubtedly opened a new chapter in the relations between the two countries. Chongqing has an important strategic position that cannot be ignored, it has a solid industrial foundation, a developed logistics network and abundant human resources. The strategic cooperation between China and Italy will bring more opportunities to Chongqing.

Paolo Bazzoni, the Vice President of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, expressed sincere welcome to all the guests present in his welcome speech. He also stated that the Southwest China is a very important area in the development plan of CICC, especially the Chongqing Municipality and the Liangjiang New Area. With establishment of Chongqing ASK in 2021, it has become a representative Italian enterprise in Chongqing working towards   increasing the popularity and influence of Made in Italy in the region. CICC will always be committed to providing services and platforms for Italian companies to develop in China, creating more concrete business opportunities for italian companies, members and chinese friends and partners.

Then the CEO of ASK Group Alberto Bianchi welcomed all the attendees to this factory tour, thanking CICC for this factory tour, and briefly introduced ASK Group's global strategy. The Liangjiang New Area, where Chongqing ASK is located, has a superior investment environment and complete industrial supporting facilities, providing strong support for the development of the our enterprise. "I believe that our Chongqing factory will play a crucial role in ASK's global development strategy, continuously providing high - quality products and services to our customers.” he said.

Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Investment Promotion Group, as the recruiting unit of Chongqing Aisike Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., was also represented by Vice General Manager Xiao Hong, who mentioned that the cooperation between Liangjiang New Area and Italy in the automotive industry has achieved fruitful results, as both sides have shown strong signs of cooperation. The settlement of Chongqing ASK has a significant meaning because it is in a leading position in the production field of automotive audio accessories, it helps improve the overall level of Chongqing's automotive parts manufacturing.

Andy Zhou, General Manager of Chongqing ASK introduced to all the development history and main business of ASK, the company has established branches in many places and became part of the JVCKENWOOD Group in 2015. In China, it was established in Ningbo in 2006 and has developed in Changchun, Chongqing, etc. Its products include car audio amplifiers, speakers, cables and antennas, etc., OEM customers cover almost all car brands. The Chongqing company was established in 2021, integrating R&D, production, logistics and procurement. It has a certain scale in terms of turnover and number of employees, and is committed to providing high-quality automotive electronic products and promoting the development of the automotive industry.

Donato Morea, SACE Chief Representative for China and East Asia, shared inspiring success stories of italian companies which have thrived in the Chinese market with the Strategic Push of SACE. Meanwhile he also elaborated on how SACE provides corresponding solutions for the risks faced by Chinese enterprises when going overseas, and shared case studies. With this second Roadshow in Southwest, the collaboration between CICC and SACE in the territory is getting more effective and useful, benefitting our companies and Chinese partners. More joint activities will be planned with SACE in Southwest and Italy.

At the end of the event, guided by General Manager Andy Zhou of Chongqing ASK, the attendees visited the factory together and also experienced the value of ASK products like speakers, box subwoofers and audio amplifiers of the on-board infotainment in the car.
