RECAP | Company Tour to Dasqua, Chengdu, Sep 26th

We are pleased to share that on September 26th ,2024, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce successfully organized the CICC Serie Event in Southwest- Company Tour to Dasqua in Sichuan Tianfu New Area. The event was supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing and DSICI (Sino-Italian Innovation Park) of Sichuan Tianfu New Area.

This tour is the second stop in Chengdu of the series event which aims to strengthen the influence and visibility of Italian enterprises in the southwest region, and to provide a comprehensive and multi-faceted understanding of the development of Italian enterprises in China, creating more opportunities for Sino-Italian cooperation.

At the Beginning of the event, Mr. Fabio Schina, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his hope for more Italian companies to settle in the Southwest territory. He stated that companies that have developed well in Tianfu New Area and even in Chengdu are a new trend for Italian companies that have not yet arrived, and Chengdu is no doubt an important strategic city for Italy, the consulate, together with the CICC, will always pay attention to and strongly support the development of Italian enterprises in the southwest region.

Then Mr. Paolo Bazzoni, Vice President of CICC, introduced Dasqua and its CEO Mr. Ou to more than 20 companies and association representatives in attendance and expressed gratitude for the support of DISICI of Tianfu New Area. “CICC is always focusing on the promotion of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and on the large-scale development in the Southwest region, and together with the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, we always trying to improve the internationalization of Italian enterprises in the region and enhancing the popularity and influence of Made in Italy. Dasqua is a very representative Italian enterprise in Southwest China, result of a strategic acquisition done 10 years ago in Italy by Mr. Ou, and now is becoming a successful case of Italian innovative and globalized SME in Europe, North America, China and Asian.” He said.

Mr. Ou Yangkai, CEO of Dasqua, gave a comprehensive introduction to the company. As a long-term friendly partner of CICC, the Management Committee of DSICI attended the event under the leadership of Mr. Wu Huangping, Director, and Mr. Liu Qi, Division Chief of International Cooperation, introduced the DSICI (Sino-Italian Innovation Park). The Tianfu New Area is committed to fostering a conducive business climate that supports innovation, creativity, and sustainable growth. Italian enterprises and brands are expected to play a significant role in enhancing the area's economic landscape.

Soon afterwards, the attendees, led by Mr. Ou Yangkai, visited DASQUA's office area, maintenance area, exhibition hall, and testing area with detailed explanations to everyone. After the visit, the representatives of the participating companies had a Q&A session to DASQUA（达时科） and networking during the tea break.

This successful concept and event will be replicated by the CICC in Chongqing business environment in the following months, boosting more opportunities for our Italian members companies and Chinese friends, and for new Italian SME not yet in China.
