RECAP | CICC New Office & Xmas Networking in CQ and WFC Pavilion

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to share that on December 9th, the Chongqing New Office was officially inaugurated on the 24th floor of the Chongqing World Financial Center (WFC).

The opening was followed by a CICC Christmas Networking and the Opening Ceremony of the WFC Italian Pavilion organized by Sparkle China under the patronage of CICC.

The initiative consisted of three parts. In the afternoon, our Chamber officially announced the opening of its new Chongqing office, in the same building with the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing.

Among the members and local partners and friends who participated in this opening ceremony, Mr. Fabio Schina - Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Giuseppe Lagana - Head of Commercial Office of Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Paolo Bazzoni – Vice President of CICC, Mr. Alessandro Lamantia - Board Member CICC, Mr. Luo Yi - Vice Director of Yuzhong Government, Ms. Zhang Kun - second level inspector of Chongqing municipal commission of Commerce, Mr. Song Gang - Executive President of CCFCCU (Chengdu-Chongqing Foreign Chambers of Commerce Union), Mr. Gao Wen - director of the Europe and America Department of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce,  Mr. Zeng Chuanyun - Vice Director of Commercial Commission Yuzhong, Mr. Li Peng, CEO of Chongqing Huaxin Industrial Group Co., Ltd.

During his welcome speech, Vice President Bazzoni emphasized the importance of this new office, located very central and close to the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, with objective to boost more support and business opportunities to our companies, also to Chinese friends, not only in the industrial sector but also in the lifestyle and retail business.

On the evening of Dec. 09th, the 2024 CICC Xmas Networking event in Chongqing was held at 54F of the Westin Chongqing Liberation Square. The event, organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), allowed Chongqing and the Southwest-based Italian business community and Chinese friends to enjoy the warm atmosphere of Italian Christmas.

During the dinner, the Vice-President of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Paolo Bazzoni, the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing and Mr. Fabio Schina, greeted and welcomed the guests and representatives of members and friends, thanked for their supports during the whole year of 2024.

On the same day, after the opening of CICC Chongqing New Office, CICC participated in the Opening Ceremony of the WFC Italian Pavilion on the 3rd Floor of WFC organized by Sparkle China under the patronage of CICC and the support of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Municipal Government Port Logistics Office, Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office, Yuzhong District Government, the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing also attended and witnessed this event.

The Italian Pavilion offers CICC Members free participation for the display as members’ benefit. With two months of preparations, it now welcomes more than twenty Italian Lifestyle brands to promote the quality of Made in Italy, boosting Lifestyle for Chongqing consumers.

The establishment of the new office of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce in Chongqing will further strengthen the cooperation between the chamber and the Consulate General. We will continue to provide services and platforms for the development of Italian enterprises in the southwest region of China, enabling more Italian brands to be recognized and favored in southwest China, and thus injecting more impetus into the consumption growth and cooperation between China and Italy in strategic fields.
