The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, promoted the 16th Suzhou Appreciation Meeting organized in two sessions:
1) First session meeting with the Italian institutions
2) Second session meeting with the Chinese institutions
The two sessions aim to promote greater interaction between Italian companies in Suzhou and both Italian and Chinese institutions.
On November 29th, 2024, the CICC successfully hosted the first session with a meeting between Italian institutions and the Italian business community based in Suzhou at the Shangri-La Hotel in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). The event welcomed H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, Ambassador of Italy to the P.R.C., who engaged with over 40 Italian companies operating in Suzhou, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing bilateral business relations and promoting collaboration.
After a coffee session, Mr. Lorenzo Bali, CICC Board Director, moderated the opening of the event, which also saw the interventions of Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Chairman, and Ms. Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai. H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti delivered a keynote on strengthening Italy-China cultural and economic ties.
An interactive session highlighted key topics for Italian companies in Suzhou, including family relocation, institutional support, and visa processes for Chinese staff traveling to Italy. The session encouraged active participation from all attendees, fostering dialogue and insight sharing.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, group photo, and a dinner with the Italian Ambassador, where Mr. Riccardi gave a welcome toast, followed by informal networking in a friendly atmosphere.
The second session, scheduled for early 2025, will feature a roundtable discussion with Chinese authorities, focusing on deepening partnerships and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
CICC members who have already confirmed their participation are encouraged to save the date and join this upcoming event.
The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce extends its sincere gratitude to all members and friends for their continued support and active involvement. Stay tuned for updates and details on future initiatives.
