The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 1000 Miglia Experience CHN, which took place from November 9th to 17th in China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This prestigious event, organized by the Federation of Classic Car China (FCCC), was held successfully with the support of the CICC. The race celebrated the fusion of Italy’s automotive heritage with China’s vibrant culture, offering a unique and exciting experience for all participants.
Opening Ceremony and Classic Car Static Exhibition
The event officially kicked off at the IGC in Guangzhou on November 9th. CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi and South China Board Member Alessandro Lamantia attended the opening ceremony on behalf of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
Originating in Italy in 1927, this renowned classic car rally made its first-ever appearance in China, showcasing 40 of the most iconic and vintage cars from collectors and museums worldwide. These extraordinary vehicles, rich with history and a testament to the development of the automotive industry, were proudly presented for the public to admire up close. Visitors had the chance to experience the unique charm of different car brands and designs, each carrying with it the legacy of a bygone era.
Welcome dinner
The 1000 Miglia Experience CHN welcome dinner was held on November 13th. Mr. Vinicio Eminenti, CICC Vice President of South China presented onsite and delivered a brief speech before the dinner began, extending his best wishes for the success of the rally and his hope for a memorable and exciting event.
Classic Car Rally
From November 14th to 17th, the event featured the Classic Car Rally, where approximately 50 classic cars and 100 drivers embarked on an exciting journey. Starting in Guangzhou, they traveled through Zhaoqing, Jiangmen, and Foshan, before returning to Guangzhou. This prestigious event, known worldwide, has chosen the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area for its inaugural race in China.
1000 Miglia Experience China 2024 Award Ceremony
The 1000 Miglia Experience China 2024 Award Ceremony brought together automotive enthusiasts and industry leaders for a celebration of passion, performance, and cultural exchange.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou, Valerio De Parolis, as well as CICC Vice President of South China Vinicio Eminenti, Board Members Alessandro Lamantia, Alessandro Petrini and South China Manager Romina Di Martino.
The ceremony highlighted the success of the event, which witnessed car lovers from all walks of life come together to share experiences, insights, and a deep appreciation for the art of motoring. It was a moment to reflect on the spirit of the 1000 Miglia, blending tradition, innovation, and the enduring bond between Italy and China in the world of automobiles.
