Post Event：the 2nd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade - Chongqing - May 16th to 19th, 2019.

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, together with the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing took part to the 2nd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (referred to as “WCIFIT”) at Chongqing International Expo Center from May 16th to May 19th, 2019.

The conference held 49 rich and varied investment, trade and cultural exchanges, domestic as well as international. 

"China (Chongqing) New Energy Automobile Industry International Cooperation Summit Forum" was one of the six major thematic activities, held on May 16th. In order to implement the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding on the joint promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative and in particular the promotion of investment, trade and technical cooperation between Chongqing and Italy, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce invited several related Italian companies. Among them Ermanno Vitali, General Manager of Yixing FAAM Industrial Battery Co Ltd, gave a speech. 

Nearly 300 Chinese and foreign guests gathered together to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in the field of new energy vehicles.

On May the 17th was held  the “China’s (Western) ‘Belt and Road’ Cross-border Investment and Trade Matchmaking Meeting” co-sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and the Bank of China. 

The scope of the meeting was to strengthen international cooperation, foster exchanges between Chongqing industrial and commercial enterprises and countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”, especially along China Railway Express (Chongqing) and New International Land-Sea Corridor. 

The second WCIFIT hosted over 2000 multinational companies and 22,000 national and foreign guests from 57 countries and regions.
