On May 25th, the XI edition of the Beijing Career Day and Job Fair was held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
The event was organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) with its Young Professional Network together with the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C., the Association of Young Italians in China (AGIC) and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
The partners of the event were AlmaLaurea and Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
This year’s numbers:
- 13 hiring companies;
- Over 20 job offers;
- More than 150 participants both online and offline;
- 3 Academic partners: Nankai University, Peking University and Western Returned Scholars Association.
The event was opened by Cristina Carenza, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C., Andrea Croci, CICC Board Member, Giuseppina Giummarra, AGIC Board Members and Federico Antonelli, Director of Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
During the seminar session, speakers from the institutions, businesses and young professionals shared an overview of the work environment and insights on opportunities in China. In addition, three case studies of career paths in entrepreneurship, business and university were presented to the audience to help job seekers kickstart their career.
Following, the job fair onsite took place thanks to the support of CICC Member companies that opened opportunities for young talents in the market.
For this edition also two open desks were made available by the partners Gi Group and EU SME Centre, where candidates respectively had the chance to show their CVs and get direct feedback as well as receiving tips on understanding the business environment for European SMEs operating in China.

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is the only business organization recognized by both the Italian Government (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) and People’s Republic of China (Ministry of Civil Affairs, MoCA) that aims to boost the internationalization of Italian business and to promote the “Made in Italy” in the PRC. Established in 1991, CICC has now offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou.
