POST EVENT- Notte Italiana 2019, Beijing - 16th November 2019

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

On November 16th, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), held Notte Italiana, at Park Hyatt Hotel, Beijing.

The event received the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in the P.R.C., the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), Municipality of Milan, Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo and Fondazione Cortina 2021.

Notte Italiana 2019 aimed at promoting the Fourth Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, featuring the Michelin-starred chef Luigi Nastri, who designed a Sino-Italian menu for the 500 guests attending the event. The evening aimed at strengthening the awareness of Italian food excellences in China. 

Moreover, inspired by the upcoming 2026 Milano-Cortina winter Olympic games, Notte Italiana 2019 offered the opportunity to showcase the beauties of Italian mountains and products.

The event was opened by Italian and Chinese opera singers, who performed some extracts from “The Marriage of Figaro” by W. A. Mozart and “The Journey to Reims” by Gioachino Rossini. The performance welcomed guests creating a magic atmosphere among the audience while highlighting the unique beauty of Opera.      ​

Notte Italiana was opened by the institutional speeches of the Chargé d'Affaires​ at the Embassy of Italy in the P.R.C., Minister Counsellor Giuseppe Fedele and by CICC’s Chairman, Davide Cucino.

          ​        

Following up, the Economic and Financial Police Attaché of the Embassy of Italy in the P.R.C., Colonel t.ST Alessandro Nencini, spoke about the Predazzo Customs Corps’ School, counting an active cooperation with the China Mountaineering Association.

CICC also gladly hosted the World Ski Champion and Fondazione Cortina 2021 Official Ambassador, Kristian Ghedina who shared with the audience insides on his career and his experiences on the slopes.

Lastly, the piano and voice duo Heidi Li and Manuel Magrini entertained the guests with a performance of well-known Italian songs.
