Post Event - Corporate Data Management and VPN: New Rules Under Cybersecurity Law of PRC - Guangzhou, 8th May 2018

Dear CICC Members and Friends,

The seminar “Corporate Data Management and VPN: New Rules Under Cybersecurity Law of PRC”, organized by CICC Guangzhou and hosted by Wang Jing & Co. Law Firm and supported by Wang Jing & Co. Law Firm and Exprivia IT Solutions Co. Ltd. was successfully held in Guangzhou on 8th May.

The seminar has been a good opportunity for foreigners and Chinese people who works with companies which deal both with China and Foreign country because it explained how the Chinese Government has improved the cybersecurity regulation and provided the audience with a general overview on Corporate Data Management for foreign and local companies operating in China with a glimpse of VPN usage under recent reforms.

    

Mr. Lucini gave to the audience an accurate introduction of the latest released Cyber Security Law in China, than he went through the details of corporate data management transferring, providing the audience with a list of useful standards that should be aligned with for both corporate and individual users to avoid fines and penalties. After Mr. Lucini’s speech, Mr. Ciampi from Exprivia & Co. Ltd. explained what VPN (Virtual Private Network) is, the different type of VPN and their functions and regulations in China according to the new law.

    

The event, that was a second edition after the first one which took place in Shenzhen on March 6th, has saw a great participation and the CICC would like to thank all participants who attended the seminar and look forward to seeing you in our next edition.
