The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) in collaboration with the EU SME Centre, organized a hybrid seminar on March 14th at WeWork in Beijing. The workshop explored the trends of China's labour market bringing together European companies in Beijing and online.

Following an introduction by Mr. Renzo Isler, Secretary General of CICC, who outlined the mission of both CICC and the EU SME Centre, Jiawen Shi, International Development Consultant at Stantec, provided insights into the recent report on the evolution of the labor market he authored for the EU SME Centre, focusing on changing profiles and expectations of talent in China.

Illustrating the distinctive dynamism of the Chinese labor market, Tristan Wang, Regional Head North China at GiGroup, presented the challenges and opportunities that European companies encounter in China.

The workshop continued in a panel discussion moderated by EU SME Centre Team Leader, Liam Jia for an exchange of HR insights from Italian companies with extensive experience in the market. Ada Zhang, HR Director at Goglio (Tianjin) Packaging Co.
