CICC at the Yangzhou "Fireworks March" Trade Festival

28 April 2025

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) took part to the opening ceremony of the 2025 Yangzhou "Fireworks March" International Economy, Trade, and Tourism Festival, which was held at the Canal Sanwan Hotel, alongside the ancient canal. Mr. Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Mayor Pan Guoqiang attended the event, delivering speeches highlighting the city’s economic and social development prospects.

The CICC participated in the event represented by CICC Board Member Cristina Corsini, Public Affairs Manager Wei Chen, and Suzhou Office Manager Elisa Qiu.

In the afternoon, the "Yiju Guangling Creative Future" 2025 Yangzhou Food Industry Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs Salon—hosted by the Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office and the Guangling District Government—took place. Representatives from the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, along with enterprises, experts, and scholars, discussed the development of Yangzhou’s food industry, envisioning enhanced Sino-Italian cooperation.

Though separated by thousands of miles, Yangzhou and Italy are deeply connected through the shared bond of food. To further deepen exchange and collaboration in the food sector, and with the support of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, the Sino-Italy (Yangzhou) Food Industry Park was officially inaugurated, leveraging foreign resources and the platform of the Yangzhou Food Industrial Park.

During the ceremony, Cristina Corsini, Board Member of the CICC, awarded the title of "Friend of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce" to the Yangzhou Food Industry Park. She emphasized that with the establishment of the Sino-Italy (Yangzhou) Food Industry Park, the CICC will continue to strengthen its role as a bridge between the two countries, actively promote cooperation, facilitate project implementation, and work towards mutual benefit and shared development. She reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to fostering economic and social ties between Yangzhou and Italy, contributing to lasting friendship between the two peoples.

The event concluded with a visit by the CICC delegation to the Marco Polo Memorial Hall, accompanied by representatives from the Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office.
