CICC Ordinary General Assembly, 28 February, Beijing

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce in China (CICC) is pleased to inform you that, as provided for by art. 11 of the Chamber Statute, the Ordinary General Assembly of the CICC is convened for February 28, 2025. The Assembly will meet in the first call at 14:30, Beijing time. If the condition indicated in art. 11.4 of the Statute does not occur at the scheduled time, the Assembly will meet at 15:00 in second call. Attendance in the second call is recommended.

Members are invited to attend in-person at the auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting can also be followed remotely via the Zoom platform, the link of which will be circulated closer to the date of the Assembly.

Please note that participation is open only to the membership base of the CICC, subject to mandatory registration. The categories of “Friends” and “Young Professionals” will also be admitted, but without the right to vote (art. 4.3. of the Statute). The Assembly will be held exclusively in English language.

Registration and Participation in the General Meeting

Members are invited to participate in the Assembly in person at the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing. If unable to do so, they have the option of following the assembly meeting remotely via the Zoom platform.

** Participation is open only to the CICC members, subject to mandatory registration. Corporate Members are invited to use their company email during registration.

For the in-person event: the deadline for registration is February 26, 2025. The registration form must also include your identity document number (for Chinese Members) or your passport number (for all other Members). This information will remain strictly confidential and will be delivered exclusively to the Italian Embassy in Beijing to allow Members access to the Italian Cultural Institute.

For the online event: the Zoom link to follow the assembly meeting will be shared via email by the Secretariat to registered members the day before the Assembly.

 

VOTING METHOD for the 2024 Financial Statement and 2025 Budget

Members belonging to the categories entitled to vote pursuant to art. 4 of our Statute are called to cast their vote for the approval of the 2024 Financial Statement and 2025 Budget.

The vote can be cast electronically via the online voting platform Election Runner between 09:00 on February 23 and 18:00 on February 27, 2025***.

***Members entitled to vote will receive an email with the sender secretarygeneral@cameraitacina.com, sent via Election Runner. Attached to the email they will find a link through which they can reach the platform and cast their vote. The 2024 Financial Statement and 2025 Budget will be attached as well.

Please note that pursuant to art. 11.10 of the Chamber of Commerce Statute, Members may be represented at the Assembly by other Members (in attendance). Each individual may not receive more than three [3] proxies. The proxy is considered valid only if duly signed by the main representative of the delegating member, where the delegating member is a legal person, or by the delegating member himself, where the delegating member is a natural person. Sub-proxies are not permitted.

Please note that proxies are not permitted for electronic voting.

We also remind you that to vote, you must be in possession of a valid Chamber of Commerce membership. The deadline for renewal for the purposes of voting on the 2024 Financial Statement and the 2025 Budget is February 19, 2025.

The outcome of the vote will be announced at the Assembly and subsequently published on the Chamber of Commerce website.

Guided Tour of the Exhibition “Caravaggio’s World of Art” - 28 February

On the same day, before the Assembly, join us to the guided tour of the exhibition "Caravaggio's World of Art" led by Professor Galleni, Cultural Attaché at the Italian Cultural Institute and art expert. A private bus will depart from the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C.
