CICC met the Minister of MIMIT Adolfo Urso in Beijing

On July 4th, on the occasion of the mission to China of the Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), Sen. Adolfo Urso, the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C. organized a meeting with the Italian business community in China at the Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.

 

 

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) attended the event with President Lorenzo Riccardi and the members of the Board.

 

The meeting was hosted by the Ambassador of Italy to the P.R.C., H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti who, after the opening remarks, gave the floor to Minister Urso.

 

The Minister reiterated the scope of cooperation promoted by the mission, which focuses particularly on green technology and electric mobility, with a focus on environmental and digital sustainability.

 

Afterwards, CICC President Lorenzo Riccardi took the floor and emphasized the importance of the Chinese market for Italian companies and how fundamental the relationship between institutions and business is in this market.

 

Italian companies operating in China have reached an aggregate stock value of 15.5 billion euros in direct investment, according to the latest data from the Bank of Italy. For Italy, China is the top market in Asia and the Far East is the region with the highest demographics and economic growth, and includes the largest free trade area. For Italian companies and brands, it is a key market."  – Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Chairman.

 

 

Following, some representatives of leading Italian companies in different sectors such as energy, luxury and lifestyle, mechanics, pharmaceuticals, and automotive, respectively ENI, Golden Goose, Pirelli, Bracco, and UFI, delivered a speech.

 

CICC promotes the interests of the Italian business community in China, and this meeting was an important opportunity to strengthen the synergy with the Italian system and bilateral relations between the two countries.
