PURPOSE OF THE CALL

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is a business organization recognized by both the Italian Government (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) and the Government of the People’s Republic of China (Ministry of Civil Affairs). Established in 1991, CICC aims to support the internationalization of Italian businesses and promote the "Made in Italy" brand in China. The Chamber currently operates offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Suzhou.

Through this call, CICC intends to select one lawyer or law firm (hereinafter referred to as “the professional”) to provide specialized legal consulting services to CICC. These services will focus primarily on commercial, contractual, customs, labor, and corporate law, as well as relevant Chinese and international regulations applicable to the Chamber’s activities and those of its member companies.

2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Member companies and professionals interested in applying to provide the requested consulting services must meet the following criteria:

• Registration with the Bar Association in China (mandatory) and/or international recognition to operate in cross-border matters.

Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in:

• Commercial and contract law in China.
• Legal support to non-governmental organizations (or institutional entities and/or Italian/foreign companies) in China.
• Knowledge of Chinese regulations on foreign investments, compliance, intellectual property, taxation, and dispute resolution.
• Service language in English, and Mandarin Chinese (and if possible, Italian)
• References: willingness to provide references from institutional or corporate clients.
• Member of the China–Italy Chamber of Commerce

3. MAIN ACTIVITIES

The selected company or professional will assist the Chamber with the following activities upon request which might include:

• Providing legal opinions on matters related to CICC operations and inquiries from member companies.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in Italian, Chinese, and English.
• Supporting the management of legal disputes, including liaising with local law firms. 
• Monitoring and reporting on relevant legislative developments in China. 
• Conducting compliance assessments.
• Advising on employment and immigration law matters.

4. APPLICATION SUBMISSION PROCEDURES

Applications must be submitted by by June 20th including:

• Letter of interest with motivations and summary of experience.
• Curriculum vitae of the professional/contact persons of the firm.
• Certifications (bar registration, any specializations).
• List of references with contact details of recent clients.

Detailed technical and financial proposal including:

• Methodological approach.
• Hourly or flat-rate fees for services.
• Response timeframes for inquiries.

5. EVALUATION CRITERIA

• Applications will be evaluated based on:
• Experience and qualifications of the professional/firm according to requirements
• Consistence of the technical proposal with CCIC's needs 
• Competitiveness of the financial proposal 

(Applications are open for members only, in the event of a tie, priority will be given to applications submitted by supporting members).

6. CONTRACT DURATION AND TERMS

The contract will have a duration of one year, renewable upon positive evaluation.

Payment in RMB, as agreed.

Maximum flexibility will be required for urgent matters.

7. NOTES

CICC reserves the right to request interviews or additional clarifications.

The data provided will be processed in accordance with Chinese privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), where applicable.
