Alitalia: new flights Beijing-Rome, June 2nd 2011

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform you that Alitalia, starting 2nd June 2011, will operate new flights between Beijing and Rome, facilitating the economic, cultural and political exchange between the two countries.

 

The new China-Italy routes will consist of 4 weekly flights (5 starting in October) operated by the new Airbus A330s, configured in 3 travel classes.The newly delivered aircraft has 28 Business Class ( Magnifica ) with flat seats, 21 Premium Economy (Classica Plus, about 40% more space than economy ) and 175 Economy Class with total of 224 seats.

 

The departure time from Beijing at 09:55 in the morning (MON/THU/SAT 10:00 SUN) allows same day connections to main destinations in Italy, Europe, North Africa, Middle East, South America and the rest of the world.

On China-Italy routes, passengers will experience the excellent cabin service typical of the Italian hospitality, enjoy "Made in Italy" catering, and have Chinese interpreters meet the specific needs of the Chinese Passengers.


 

On 16 February 2011, the Chairman of Alitalia Roberto Colaninno, the CEO of Alitalia Rocco Sabelli and the Chairman of China Eastern Ma Xulun, presented in Rome the new Alitalia’s Rome-Beijing and China Eastern’s Rome-Shanghai flights, operated in codesharing by Alitalia and China Eastern and launched within the framework of a partnership agreement between the two companies.
