The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to invite you to the Coffee with Redge: Dialogue with Italian Contemporary Artists in Chengdu on June 16th, this event is held by CICC in collaboration with our member REDGE Contemporary Art Center and supported by the member Mira Home Decor & Design, a professional service specialising in Italian brands and comprehensive interior design.

 

Coffee with Redge: Dialogue with Italian Contemporary Artists provides an open platform for discussion, allowing attendees to share and explore their impressions of a work of art and gain new insights by listening to others' perspectives. Everyone is welcome, with or without an artistic background. This event will focus on sharing personal experiences rather than art theory or history. Join us for this unique opportunity where four distinguished Italian artists and creatives will connect remotely to share their insights into contemporary art, curation, and design.

 

About the artist

Filippo Bigagli

Filippo Bigagli is an art curator dedicated to experimentation and originality. Engaged in contemporary art since 2009, he has organized 25 solo and group exhibitions. As the founder and director of Accaventiquattro Home Gallery from 2018 to 2020, Filippo curated seven bipersonal exhibitions featuring the work of emerging young artists.

At this event, Filippo Bigagli will discuss his exhibition activities within industrial archaeology contexts, his close collaborations with companies, and his reflections on the prospects of young Italian artists.

 

Lashup Studio

Lashup Studio was founded in 2012 by Claudio Granato and Enrico Pieraccioli. The studio explores new aesthetic frontiers through the language of architecture, providing highly specialized consultancy services focused on the design and implementation of complex branding projects.

At this event, Lashup Studio plans to present a study that investigates contemporary phenomena, technology, and social contexts, with a particular focus on cross reality. The primary goal is to explore the relationship between the digital and physical worlds and analyze how the fusion of these two realms changes spatial perception. This research aims to understand the impact of integrating digital and physical elements on the experience and perception of the surrounding environment.

 

Stefano Galli

Stefano Galli, graduated in Painting at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 2013 and New expressive language at the Florence Academy of Fine Art in 2017. Stefano Galli conducts figurative research through his practice of painting to investigate the world around him. His works are the starting point to present his imagination where his experiences, memories and interests converge. In addition to the typical elements and pictorial traditions, he inserts interventions from the digital world, creating a dialogue with the subjects of the painting and altering their meaning. His unique style and constantly exploration during creative process render a thought-provoking visual feast with a sense of humour.

Stefano will share his new exhibition "Sea Wanderers" at “Coffee with REDGE”. This exhibition is part of the 2024 Maritime Silk Road themed special project, commemorating the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death. “Sea Wanderers" embodies cross-regional, cross-cultural, and cross-media exchanges inspired by the history of the Maritime Silk Road.
