Seminar introduction:
Italy and Italian companies stand themselves out for their originality, innovation, quality, and products design. These values are one of the biggest competitive advantages of the Italian companies over the foreigner companies within the international markets.
The delocalization in China and the development of the Chinese consumption market endanger this advantage, that in juridical terms is represented and formalized by patent marks, design, copyright, etc.
Protecting and valorizing the intellectual property in China, for the sourcing, the production and the marketing are essential.
During the seminar the subject of acquisition, management and enforcement of the intellectual property rights in China will be discussed.
Moreover, the subject of the safeguard and valorization of the intellectual property rights will be discuss within the territorial field, emphasizing how a correct reaction to possible violations has to be planned on 4 levels: A) judicial or extrajudicial acts in Italy; B) European/Italian Customs; C) Chinese Customs; D) extrajudicial, administrative or judicial acts in China.

Speakers profiles:
Vincenzo Jandoli. Partner. Admitted to Italian Bar in 1991, Mr Jandoli is a veteran of Intellectual Property Enforcement with more than 15 years practice. Author of many articles, between which «The infringement of a Group of Companies» (1997), «The Cross Border Injunction: a possible failure» (1998), «The Italian Torpedo» (2000),
« L`esame dell`altezza inventiva» (2003), he has been lecturer at SDA Bocconi (Milan) and Aipla (Dallas) as well as
Speaker at many events.
Bian Zizhen. (Partner HFG, Patent and Trademark Agent, Vice Chairman of the Legal Committee of QBPC). Having practiced with China Trademark & Patent Law Office for 2 years, Mr. Bian established the Mainland office of a leading international intellectual property ("IP") firm in Beijing in 1993, and expanded the operation to become one of the largest international IP service providers in China. As one of the 1st generation IP practitioners in China, Mr. Bian has profound and experience in a wide range of IP fields. (MBA, University of Chicago (Honor); Diploma, Peking University; Bachelor of Computer Science).
Fabio Giacopello:Chief Representative of Shanghai Office. Mr Giacopello was admitted to Bar in 2000 and he joined Franzosi Law Firm in 2002, after a Master Course in "Intellectual Property Management" at Politecnico Milano. Among others, he wrote the article "The Utility Model Patents" for "Il Sole 24 Ore" in 2006.
