What are leaders in business in China best at from the point of view of their people? Where do they most need to improve if they are to truly engage hearts as well as minds of their people?

These questions take on more and more significance as China shifts to more knowledge-based work – the sort of work in which personal engagement drives discretionary energy which drives creativity, innovation and results.

To this end, the Corporate Research and Curriculum Development Officer Kate Sweetman of Malaysia International Financial Leadership Training Centre (ICLIF) will bring you a speech of "Leadship Code for a Knowledge-based China" on August 28th 2013.

This talk entertainingly converges two streams of research that have been conducted over the last seven years: one that articulates and organizes what all great leaders know and do no matter where they are in the world, no matter what the endeavour; and the other that specifically focuses on what business leaders in China know and do today (in both Chinese based enterprises and in MNCs operating in China), and how they can get more from their people.

The speaker: Kate Sweetman
