The workshop aims to bring together European businesses/businesses that represent European clients from different Member States’ chambers of commerce and various other industry associations to discuss the draft Implementation Regulations to the Chinese Trademark Law, which was opened by the State Council’s Legislative Affairs Office (SCLAO) for public comment on January 10th 2014 and on which comments are due by February 10th 2014.

Agenda

- Welcome remarks by Roberto Cecutti, First Secretary in the Trade & Investment Section at the EU Delegation;
- Introduction to the workshop by Davide Follador and Dan Prud’homme, technical experts, IP Key Team;
- Framework for discussing comments and suggestions on the regulations, led by Paul Ranjard, Chair of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (European Chamber)’s IPR Working Group;
- Discussion among participants;
- Conclusion;
- Networking over wine and canapés (6 – 7 p.m.).
