Impressions and Reality: Chinese Law - Presentation of the website www.leggicinesi.it

The meeting aims to present and illustrate the web site Leggicinesi.it that has been created in order to provide constant updates about the Chinese law. It is addressed to those who are interested in this subject and to its evolution. The speaker will enrich the presentation of the website with an excursion into the Chinese law, introducing impressions derived from his experiences in China and from the study of law itself.

The web site contains texts of laws and moreover articles on law topics and links to other web site directly connected to the subject itself.

A specific section is dedicated to the “Business Area” where legal and commercial documents are available for those companies willing to face the chinese market as for example: China Business guides, newsletters about fiscal and legal topics, draft of contracts and forms in english and chinese related to the corporate and arbitration sector.

Speaker:

Prof. Renzo Cavalieri is Professor of Comparative Legal Institutions and East Asian institutions at Cà Foscari University in Venice and partner of the law firm "Agnoli Bernardi e Associati". He mainly deals with international commercial law, with a particular reference to the operations related to the Chinese market. We bring to your attention some of his most important titles: La legge e il rito. Lineamenti di storia del diritto cinese, Milano, 1999, L`adesione della Cina alla WTO; implicazioni giuridiche, Lecce, 2003 e Cina: commercio internazionale e investimenti esteri, Milano, 2006.
