Call for Speakers | How to Export Chemical Substances to China, April 20th 2022

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in partnership with the EU SME Centre, is planning to organize a webinar on how to export chemical products and substances to China (not including cosmetics). The webinar is planned to take place on April 20th 2022 (date to be confirmed).

In China, both new chemical substances and hazardous chemicals require registrations prior to manufacture or importation. New substance registration is similar to EU REACH registration or TSCA pre-manufacture notice (PMN). Many people are only familiar with new substance notification (China REACH) but not with hazardous chemicals registration.  In this seminar, we will try to give you an overview of hazardous chemicals registration in China. We will focus on its legal basis, procedure and info requirements.

The seminar will discuss:

- Regulations in the sector, e.g. China REACH, as well as the inventories existing; 
- Product/substance registration process; 
- Relevant national and sectoral standards; 
- Chinese market structure & key actors; 
- Opportunities and challenges for EU SMEs; 
- Key tips and recommendation

Interested speakers shall submit a brief outline of the proposed content when responding to this call.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

The selection of the speakers will be made according to the relevance of the proposals with reference to the topic of the seminar.

CICC will give priority to its Members. Should there be no applications from Members, CICC has the right to select the most appropriate application submitted by Non-Members.

EXCLUSION FROM TENDERING

· In case of not meeting conditions of the present "Call for Speakers"

· In case of non-conformity with the hereby open "Call for Speakers"

· In case of false data submission

· In case of late submission

*Please note, the speakers shall not promote personal material during the seminar
