Shanghai-Pudong Appreciation Meeting Debuted on Monday

Dear Members and Friends, 

On Monday 7 June 2021, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce organized the first edition of the Shanghai-Pudong Appreciation Meeting.

The meeting, aimed at strengthening the commercial dialogue between the Shanghai authorities and the Italian companies present in the area, as well as at better supporting the development of the Italian business in particular in the Pudong area, saw the participation of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai and the government institutions of the Pudong New Area.

On this occasion, issues of particular importance for economic relations between Italy and Shanghai were discussed, from the business environment within the municipality to investment policies.

The meeting was structured in two parts:

1. Appreciation Meeting

It opened with greetings from the Consul General Michele Cecchi, the Deputy Head of the Pudong New Area Yang Chao and the CICC Chairman Paolo Bazzoni.

Officials from Pudong New Area were present.

2. Business Forum 15:30-17:00

A Q&A session was held, during which representatives of Italian companies asked questions to government officials in the Pudong New Area.

Host and moderator was the Vice Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (Shanghai) Valtero Canepa.
