Post Event | Webinar “Opportunities for Italian companies in South-west China”, June 9th 2021, Chengdu

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to inform you that the webinar “Opportunities for Italian companies in South-west China”, organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing and IEG - Italian Exhibition Group with the support of CICC, was held in Chengdu Bplan Tech Co. Ltd. (1104 China International Center, 969 Hanzhou Road, Tianfu New District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province) on June 9th 2021. The webinar was attended by Mr. Guido Bilancini, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, and Mr. Gianluca Luisi, CICC Board Member. In his speech, Mr. Luisi pointed out that the CICC is actively promoting the cooperation and development of Italian enterprises in the Southwest, enhancing its role in the area and creating business opportunities for more Italian enterprises.

Then, Mr. Lorenzo Gonzo, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Lu Qiansheng, Deputy Director of Italian-Chinese Culture and Innovation District of TFNA, Mr. Yang Youyi, Deputy President of Sichuan Circular Economy Association, Mr. Lin Haiyang, Secretary General of Sichuan Environmental Protection Industrial Association, Mr. Shane Farrelly, representative of D'andrea & Partners, Mr. Roberto De Angelis, representative of VOMM Italia, introduced and analyzed the business environment of Italian enterprises in Southwest China from different perspectives and positions.

The purpose of this webinar was to introduce Southwest China to Italian business representatives and to provide information on opportunities and potential challenges brought by the 14th Five-Year Plan, focusing on environment, environmental technology, circular economy, energy and sustainable development industries. In the context of the restrictions on international travel caused by COVID-19, this webinar helped Italian enterprises interested in Southwest China to establish contacts with local organizations and understand the business environment in Southwest China.
