The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to inform you that on June 22-23 Mr. Emanuele de Maigret, Minister Counsellor, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C., visited Chongqing and Chengdu. His mission was supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing in cooperation with the CICC.
On June 22 in the morning, a delegation which included Minister Counsellor Emanuele de Maigret, Mr. Gianpaolo Bruno, Italian Trade Commissioner and Coordinator of ITA Offices in China and Mongolia, Mr. Guido Bilancini, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Lorenzo Gonzo, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, Mr. Paolo Bazzoni, Chairman of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Gianluca Luisi, CICC Board Member, visited the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area to meet with the leaders of the Liangjiang New Area Management Committee.
They discussed various issues regarding international exchanges and cooperation carried out by Italian companies in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. Then the delegation visited the Chongqing Liangjiang Digital Economic Industrial Park.
In the afternoon, the delegation together with Italian entrepreneurs visited Changan Automobile Global R&D Center in Liangjiang New Area. Then they went to Sofima Automotive Filter, which is under the Italian UFI Group, to have an official visit. Sofima Automotive Filter company is the first newly introduced project after the establishment of the Sino-Italian Industrial Park. Afterwards, the delegation moved forward to visit the Vespa&Piaggio store which is located in the Sino-Swiss Industrial Park.
In the afternoon of June 23, Minister Counsellor Emanuele de Maigret went to Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu to participate in the Italian Global Design Day (Chengdu), hosted by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing and co-organized with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. This year's edition has as its theme "Sustainable Projects and Materials", and aims to discuss the opportunities and challenges that "Made in Italy" is facing.
