Dear Members and Friends,
The China – Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform that the FACTORY TOUR at itema Weaving Machinery (China) Co., Ltd, was successfully held on July 5th, 2019.
The Factory Tour began with a brief presentation and introduction of the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), provided by Mr. Antonio Farese, MEWG Coordinator.
He welcomed all the participants, representatives from different companies operating in the manufacturing industry and talked about the current situation of the mechanical sector in China and about the possible activities to be carried out.
Mr. Antonio Farese invited Ms. Ludovica Murazzani, Commercial Consul of Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, on the stage. She expressed her thanks for the invitation and gave an overview of the activities and projects carried out by the Government and aimed at supporting the business of Italian companies, with particular attention to the Mechanical Engineering sector.
Their speeches were followed by a visit to the factory, during which Mr. Lorenzo Maffioli, Managing Director at itema China, showed and explained to the participants the advanced technologies used by itema China in providing advanced weaving solutions, including best-in-class weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services. This Company is the only manufacturer in the world to provide the top three weft insertion technologies: rapier, airjet and projectile, with an ample product portfolio and a commitment to continuous innovation and technological advancement of its weaving machines.
Then the Tour was closed by the Q&A section, in which the participants have gained a further knowledge on the topic and had the possibility to exchange their experiences and mingle of ideas, information and suggestion about how to improve the mutual business.
