CICC met with Economy Minister Giorgetti at TEHA Club, May 10th

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Ambrosetti Club China Chapter, invited its members to join online the “Phygital Meeting with Giancarlo Giorgetti (Italian Minister of Economy and Finance) on Italy’s Economic agenda” on May 10th. This event was organized as a closed-door Chatham House Rule meeting by the Ambrosetti Club, both online and offline in Milan.

 

The event highlighted the priorities and needs necessary to create a climate of confidence in the country, relaunch public and private investment, and renew the entrepreneurial spirit. The meeting focused on Italy’s economic agenda and its implications for business.

 

During the dialogue with Minister Giorgetti, CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi intervened to represent the voice of Italian companies in China, confirming the importance of political confrontation in promoting economic relations.

 

Participating in the meeting were representatives of the CICC Board of Directors and decision-makers from CICC member companies.

 

CICC promotes dialogue with Italian and Chinese institutions to foster China-Italy economic relations and the value of Italian companies.

About the Speaker

 

 

Giancarlo Giorgetti was appointed Minister of Economy and Finance on 22 October 2022. He has been a Member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies since 1996, where he has served as president of several parliamentary committees. He was also mayor of Cazzago Brabbia in Lombardy from 1995 to 2004. Mr. Giorgetti served as Secretary of the Council of Ministers from June 2018 to September 2019. He then held the role of Minister of Economic Development from 13 February 2021 to 22 October 2022. Mr. Giorgetti was born in Cazzago Brabbia province of Varese, Lombardy. He has a degree in Business Economics from the Bocconi University in Milan.
