CICC at Italy-China Business Forum, 28-29 July Beijing

On July 28th-29th, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi, took part in the 7th Session of the Business Forum Italia-Cina (BFIC) in Beijing. 

The opening ceremony, held at the Great Hall of People, saw the attendance of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Chinese Premier Li Qiang who delivered a speech to all the participants. BFiC is co-chaired by Dario Scannapieco, managing director of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti on the Italian side and He Haijiao, president of Bank of China on the Chinese side. 

 

 

The purpose of the Italy-China Business Forum (BFIC) is to promote the development of economic relations between Italy and China, particularly in the areas of trade, investment and science/technology, in support of Italian and Chinese interests and to structure a permanent forum for dialogue between business and economic realities of the two countries.

On the same day, the two governments signed the “Action Plan for Strengthening the China-Italy Global Strategic Partnership (2024-2027)”, in which the two sides reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen mutual trust and maintain high-level institutional exchanges.

In this context, regarding commercial promotion and investment, the action plan also includes the support of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and its member companies.
