The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is delighted to invite you to attend the event Portrait of Women in China, a celebration of women leadership, on 12 March at the Showroom in Shanghai (6:30 pm-8:30 pm). International Women's Day, on March 8, is celebrated in many countries around the world as a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
With our event, we want to celebrate powerful women with powerful stories uncovering lessons learned and insights into their journeys.
Women have multiple roles in today’s world and we will talk with women leaders about how they push boundaries, empower themselves to hit career goals and drive changes.
Topics will include dealing with gender equality, branding for success, balancing a career and home life, finding mentors, and strategizing for career advancement.
The event is open to everyone, both Members and Non-Members.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Cristiana Barbatelli
CEO of Barbatelli & Partners Management Consultant Co. Ltd.
With an academic background at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and Statale University in Milan, in China for about 40 years, she has been involved in small and medium enterprises, operating first in the banking sector and for 29 years in direction consulting.
She directed projects for the IFC, ADB and European Community. She was a consultant for more than 600 Italian small and medium enterprises for development projects in China.
Only foreign Independent Counsellor (woman) at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, she has been teaching at Macerata University in the Communication Science department; she was a Founding Faculty Member of BIC (Business in China) and taught a managerial training course on China at Ispi-Bocconi. She is also a faculty member of EMBA and a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at Tor Vergata University (Rome) and a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science at Macerata University, where she teaches "Business Management in China". She taught Creative Management at Jiaootong University, Shanghai, and EMBA at Jiaotong University- Vancouver University. She also taught Marketing Management at the Economics and Finance Institute at Shanghai Normal University.
Co-author of “La Cina non è per tutti”,Edizioni Olivares(2005) and “La Cina non è ancora per tutti” (2015) she has been writing for Italian and international magazines.
She received the Honor of“Stella d’Italia” in 2016 for her contribution to the development of the Italy-China relations.
Delia Giangregorio
Chief Strategy Officer, GBMax
After a Master's Degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature at the Naples Oriental Institute, she started her career at the Bank of China in Rome, then moved to the Milan Branch. Then after 6 working years and a Graduation in Piano from the Italian Academy of Music, she decided to switch to a completely different field, the fashion one, in 1999, with Gold Bond Enterprises Ltd., which just started the first contacts with the Max Mara Fashion Group.
This adventure has lasted more than 24 years now, starting with the first Max Mara franchisee shop opened in the China World Shopping Mall in 2000, passing through the development of all 8 brands of the Group, up to the current 320 shops including Subfranchisee, Ec and Outlets (of which 290 are DOS, 255 belonging to the multibrand full price area). She started as manager of the Gold Bond Milan office, then was appointed in 2008 as the (JV) GBMAX Director of the Operations department (covering all the brands in the full price DOS channel), then since 2019 Chief Operation Officer covering the full price DOS in the whole China market, and since last year Chief Strategy Officer and member of the Management Committee of GBMAX Group.
Eugenia Valente
Vice Presidente, Asia and ANZ FPT Industrial, Fiat Powertrain - Iveco Group
Eugenia Valente's academic background includes an Executive MBA in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Geology/Chemistry sciences, both at the University of Turin. She has more than 20 years of industrial experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, Planning and leadership management and has overseas working experience and cross-culture experience in the global manufacturing industry.
She has covered different positions over the years, starting as Supply Chain Director at Actuation Systems MICROTECNICA srl, UTC Aerospace Systems (Italy-based) from September 2010 to January 2013. From February 2013 to June 2015, she was Sales, Inventory and Operations Director at Actuation Systems UTC Aerospace Systems and from July 2015 to October 2017 she was Senior Director at Propeller Systems UTC Aerospace Systems (both UK-based). After that, from November 2017 to March 2021 she held the position of Vice President ofNetwork& Distribution and Chairman of the Supervisory Board Bergen at Medium Speed Engines Rolls Royce Power Systems (Germany-based). Lastly, from April 2021 to December 2023 she was President, of Power Solutions for Greater China Rolls Royce Power Systems and currently holds the position of Vice President at Asia and ANZ FPT – IVECO GROUP (both China Based).
Antonella Viero
Strategic Advisor, OTB Group
Antonella Viero has worked in fashion and communication for almost 30 years.
She began her career in an integrated communication agency, before taking her first steps in fashion at UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON.
In 1997, she joined DIESEL where she held various headquarters positions up to Global Head of Communications, in charge of the brand’s worldwide marketing strategy. She then became Chief Communication Officer of OTB Group, to which Diesel belongs. Today Antonella is Strategic Advisor to the Group.
Passionate about creativity, branding and communication, she was born in Italy and lived in New York, Paris and Shanghai, gradually enriching her sensitivity to multiculturalism, diversity and social responsibility.
