Post Event: Smart China Expo 2nd Edition- Chongqing –August, 26th-29th 2019

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to announce that the Second Edition of Smart China Expo was successfully held from August 26th to 28th at International Yualai Conference Center, Chongqing.

In this edition Italy took part as Guest Country of Honor, together with the United Kingdom and Singapore. 

The inauguration ceremony of the Italian pavilion opened by Minister Counsellor Emanuele de Maigret, head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Italy in the PRC, who delivered a speech focused on the importance of our country's participation in this event, with a view to further strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and China in the fields of innovation and new technologies.

Representing the local authorities, the Vice President of the Popular Assembly of the Municipality of Chongqing Wang Yue, pointed out that right now the Sino-Italian relations in strategic sectors such as aerospace, automotive, semiconductors and new technologies are very positive.

Curated and organized by the Italian Consulate General in Chongqing in collaboration with ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, the pavilion houses companies that are particularly representative of Italian industrial and technological excellence.

The following Italian companies participated in the exhibition:

• Leornardo - Helicopter Division: exhibits an AW109 helicopter in the "Emergency Medical Services" configuration;

• Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co., LTD. (SFH): exhibits a 9-liter Cursor engine with FPT Natural Gas technology (CNG / LNG);

• ST Microelectronics: exhibits a Smart Factory model and automotive applications;

• CTF Automobile China Investment Co., Ltd: exhibits a Ferrari "Portofino" and a Maserati "Levante";

• MV AGUSTA: exhibits a motorcycle model;

• Danisi Engineering: exhibits some virtual reality interfaces;

• Group - B810: exhibits some innovative devices for the automotive sector and an artificial intelligence application for predictive maintenance.

Furthermore, at the Smart China Expo, the Italian Consulate General in Chongqing, the China International Intelligent Industry Expo Organizing Committee, the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and the Beijing Institute of Technology jointly organized the first edition of "China-Italy Big Data (Automotive) and Smart Mobility Forum ".
