The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to inform you that at 9:00 on Wednesday, July 3 at the Shanghai Polytechnic University Industrial Design Development Centre the General Elective Assembly for Suzhou Board Member has been successfully held.
The Assembly started with an introduction by Davide Cucino, CICC President, followed by the Consul General of Italy in Shanghai, Michele Cecchi, whose presentation stressed the significance of the Italian community in China represented, for instance, the Italian cinema industry emerged during the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival in June, the environment focus in Suzhou and the upcoming events which will involve several Italian organizations in China.
Guido Giacconi, CICC Vice President, presented data from the recent "CICC Business Survey 2019" conducted on a sample of around 900 contacts, focusing on matters such as the presence of CICC members in China, their business sector and geographical distribution, as well as the variation in the average revenues of CICC members, and the major challenges faced by them.
President Cucino then addressed the most important yearly CICC projects throughout China, with a focus on the major 2019 activities: SICAB, “True Italian Taste”, and the cooperation with the business association ANIMA for the opening of the China-Italy Week of Technology, Science, and Innovation.
The Elective Assembly continued with a speech by Emanuela Vizzarro, CICC Office Manager Shanghai-Suzhou, who described the services offered and the activities organized during by the Office during the first half of 2019, such as Corporate Events and the Panda d'Oro Award 2019.
Thereafter, Antonio Farese, CICC Shanghai Board Member and MEWG Coordinator, explained the goals, composition, activities, and participation to the Manufacturing Engineering Working Group (MEWG).
The uncontested candidate to Suzhou Board Member was Riccardo Campanile, General Manager Modula (China). After the candidate's presentation, President Davide Cucino - with the unanimous consent of all the participants - proclaimed the candidate elected by acclamation.
As Vice Coordinator of Suzhou Chapter, Mr. Campanile described the activities of the Chapter, underlining the importance to start and corroborate the synergies between Italian organizations and those Chinese municipalities in which the Chapter operates.
The General Assembly was concluded by a Q&A session, in which the participants had the opportunity to interact with the speakers.
CICC thanks all the participants to the assembly and wishes a good tenure to the newly elected Suzhou Board Member.
