The China Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to announce you that on May 28th a cooking “Masterclass” will be held in Guangzhou.
The event is organized in the frame of the “True Italian Taste”, an exceptional project promoted and founded by the Ministry of Economic Development and carried out by Assocamerestero (the Association of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Worldwide) in cooperation with the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, and part of the program "The Extraordinary Italian Taste".
The project is aimed to promote the authentic Italian agri-food products in China.

The event will take place in Garden Hotel, Guangzhou, on May 28th starting at 16:00, and the guest will have the chance to attend a professional Masterclass about an authentic Italian recipe ("Paccheri di Gragnano on Taleggio fondue with confit cherry tomatoes and basil sauce") , well prepared by an Italian Chef, using exclusively DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) and IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) certified Italian ingredients.
The “Italian Sounding” phenomenon: why is important to promote the “True Italian Taste”?
The project aims at promoting authentic Italian products to hinder the issue of the “Italian sounding”. The Italian sounding phenomenon includes products with an Italian appearance, but not attributable to an authentic Made in Italy production chain. Consumers are misled into buying products that are not authentic Italian which damage the image of those authentically Made in Italy.
The CICC aims at protecting authentic Italian products through promotional actions raising awareness of the genuine Italian Food & Wine productions among Chinese consumers.
