ADRIWG Meeting with Comitato Intergovernativo

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in coordination with the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, has facilitated the meeting of the representatives from Comitato Governativo Italia Cina and the Members of the CICC Architectural and Design Work Group, in Shanghai.

The meeting was presided by Mr Federico Failla, coordinator of Comitato Intergovernativo, and saw the participation of different parties, including the representatives from IUAV Venice University President, Mr Giancarlo Carnevale; seven CICC Member companies, from the design, architecture, interior decoration and construction materials field introduced their activities to the delegation.

Comitato Intergovernativo has been in contact with local governments in Guangdong and Zhejiang provinces, to develop common projects for territorial and urban planning.

The delegation informed the participants that in Guangdong province, talks with local government were in an advanced phase, as a few projects have been already identified.

Further exchange between the two parties will be achieved within the summer, when a delegation from Guangdong province will go to Italy, to meet the Italian counterparts.

Mr Carnevale informed CICC Members that possible biddings and tangible business opportunities should become available within the end of the year; to this purpose, CICC will keep in close contact with Comitato Intergovernativo representatives, so as to timely collect any updates.
