The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Office, is proud to present you with a sensational insight into today’s China environmental situation and evolving scenarios: “When a Billion Chinese Jump” - a journey through an environment in crisis. Jonathan Watts, the author, has traveled from mountain paradises to industrial wastelands, via tiger farms, melting glaciers, cancer villages, science parks, coal mines and eco-cities to examine the responses of those at the top of society and the hopes of those below. Consistently attentive to human detail, he has vividly portrayed individual lives in a country all too often viewed from outside as a faceless state. Based on almost 300 interviews and close to 100,000 kilometres of journeys, this is a book that no reader - no consumer in the world - can be unaffected by. Do you have an “eco soul”? Are you involved into CSR? Does your business relate to environmental issues and projects? Come and join us, and have Jon tell you all the latest green updates.
