The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is the only business organisation recognised by both the Italian Government (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) and People’s Republic of China (Ministry of Civil Affairs) that aims to boost the internationalization of Italian business and to promote the “Made in Italy” in the PRC.
Established in 1991, CICC has now offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou.
The CICC Members represent the Italian business community such as public-invested and multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises (both manufacturing and commercial), service companies etc.
To companies settled in China and those with on-going business within the Chinese market, the CICC offers informative, training and business networking opportunities. Besides, the CICC qualifies itself as a voicing platform for them to share topics of common interest. To companies interested in strengthening their business in China, the CICC offers consultancy, assistance and marketing services.
The established network together with the institutional endorsement provided the CICC with the opportunities to organise several activities boosting private businesses, b2b, institutional and business missions, participation to fairs both in China and in Italy, networking events, gala dinners, awarding ceremonies, culinary events, concerts, career days, etc.

Friends of CICC
Another milestone for the promotion and connectivity amongst the Sino-Italian business community is the creation of the “Friends of CICC” channel, welcoming Chinese companies to join CICC activities and being part of the CICC network.
Working Groups
The CICC, in cooperation with its members, has established 11 working groups covering those sectors, considered as the most important and strategic for Italian companies in China. The Working Groups gather representatives of companies operating in the same sector or located in the same geographical area, aiming to:
Currently, the national Working Groups active are: Aviation and Aerospace Working Group (AAWG), Energy and Environment Protection Working Group (EEPWG), Food and Beverage Working Group (FBWG), Healthcare Working Group (HCWG), Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG), Innovation and Technology Working Group (ITWG), Logistic Working Group (LWG), Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), Quality Council (QC), Suzhou Chapter (SCH) and Sport and Tourism Working Group (STWG).
EU SME Centre
The CICC is an Implementing Partner of the EU SME Centre. The Centre is a project funded by the European Commission and works to provide assistance and support services to European Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) interested in the Chinese market. Other partners are: China-Britain Business Council, Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China, CCI France Chine, Eurochambres, European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Assocamerestero Network
The CICC is a member of Assocamerestero, the Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, a network of 81 Chambers in 58 Countries. An institution recognised as the third institution in charge of promoting Italy abroad, together with Italian Trade Commission and ENIT.
