About the Italian Federation of Chefs in China (FIC)
The Federation of Italian Chefs (known in Italian as the Federazione Italiana Cuochi) China Delegation. The FIC conducts study and research and will promote exchanges between the culinary cultures of Italy and China through a series of exhibitions, seminars, conferences, promotions, and other events.
In the framework of the VIII edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (13-19 November 2023), the Association of Italian Chefs in China, Hong Kong and Macao (known in Italian as the Federazione Italiana Cuochi in Cina) was officially presented. The Association, affiliated to the Italian Chefs Federation (FIC), will allow the chef profession to be further enhanced within the territory of the People's Republic of China, offering representation to all professionals who passionately dedicate themselves to the culinary activity. This is an important piece that will further encourage meetings between the different entities operating in the sector. The association aims, among other things, to organize training, updating and professional requalification activities, as well as the promotion of initiatives that contribute to the knowledge and diffusion of Italian gastronomic culture. Founded in 1968, the Italian Chefs Federation (FIC) is a trade association for chefs which today has 120 Provincial Associations, 20 Regional Unions, numerous Foreign Associations and Delegations, which each year include an average of 20 thousand members including Professional Chefs, Chef Patrons, Restaurateurs, Teachers and Students of the Hotel Institutes of every order and degree.
