POST EVENT | Selling through Live Streaming, June 29th

Dear Members and Friends, 

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to let you know that the workshop “Selling through Live Streaming in China”, organized in collaboration with the EU SME Centre, was held on 29 June 2021.      

Over 40 European companies participated in the online workshop aimed at providing insights on the use of Live Streaming channels to approach or grow in the Chinese market. 

The event was opened by the welcome remarks of Ms Giulia Gallarati, Secretary General of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Board Member of EU SME Centre, and Mr Alessio Petino, EU SME Centre Knowledge Coordinator​. 

During the event, our guest speakers led the discussion on Live Streaming, presenting company cases and providing suggestions on how to engage and work with KOLs directly from a KOL perspective. 

Did you know how important is to choose the right KOL? The first speaker, Ms. Ambra Schillirò, Co-Founder and PR and Marketing Director of Social Cloud, provided insights on how to engage different types of KOLs, along with best selling products, top platforms for live streaming and latest regulations. 

After, Mr.Giorgio Berni, Managing Director APAC of Ganassini Corporate, presented China Live streaming environment starting from company experience. Alongside with tricks, "Live Streaming could be a treat if managed carefully": it is important to select well the local partner, diversify the risk, learn by competitors and make sure volumes purchased are aligned with market potential.

Angelina Saiyi Li, Founder and CEO of LYRRA, TV hostess, Online streaming KOL, then, explained what KOLs value the most in deciding whether to work with a brand, being exclusiveness and company culture key factors. Ms. Li also shared with the audience how to maximize live streaming effectiveness including the importance of customizing products presentation according to the platform and audience.
