公司信息The EU SME Centre functions as a Support Service Provider for European SMEs. Specifically, the Centre assists SMEs to establish, develop and maintain commercial activities in the Chinese market – through export and/or investment – by providing support through inter alia the provision of information, matchmaking and networking events and acting as a platform facilitating coordination amongst Member State services and private sector service providers to European SMEs, particularly at the crucial early stages of their market penetration strategy. The EU SME Centre is operated by a consortium of European Chambers of Commerce, led by the China-Britain Business Council and includes the Benelux, French, German, Italian and Spanish Chambers in Beijing, as well as the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and Eurochambres.

Specific requirements and qualifications are as follows: •Excellent understanding of China’s business environment, particularly from the perspective of challenges faced by foreign entrants and exporters to China. •Able to answer questions from European SMEs on the Chinese business environment and how to access business opportunities in this environment. •Five years’ experience carrying out and managing market research projects; being able to find the latest information on the Chinese market for a wide range of industries, utilising both primary and secondary data collection methods. •Can project manage a number of projects (e.g. research, events) at the same time. •Excellent communications skills. The working language will be English and reports and materials will be written in English. •University graduate. •Strong IT skills, with an excellent knowledge on how to use Excel, Word and Powerpoint. •Enthusiastic to work with European companies and provide them with the best possible knowledge available in order to facilitate their decision making. •Proficiency (spoken and written) in another European language would be an advantage. •Candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply for this position but must have fluent Chinese (including reading and writing skills) and excellent English language skills.

The Centre is now looking for a “Business Manager” for its office in Beijing to work within the Business Development team supervised by the Business Development Advisor.
The Business Manager will carry out research projects, providing EU SMEs with the information and knowledge that they need to make confident business decisions. He/she should have a sound knowledge of the Chinese business environment and should also have strong skills in project management and market research.
