Post Event -China Export and Marketing Requirements for Fashion and Apparel Emerging Brands

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in cooperation with the EUSME Centre, is glad to inform you that the webinar focused on China fashion and apparel market - “China Export and Marketing Requirements- for Fashion and Apparel Emerging Brands” was held on 24 January 2022 with success.  The webinar was organized based on popular demand and inquiries, to provide an overview of China’s fast-moving fashion and apparel market, from the perspective of market entry strategy, customs, marketing, and taxation. More than 110 audience registered to the webinar, from Italy, China, US, Switzerland, Russian Federation, Germany, Canada, France, and Finland.

The webinar was moderated by Alessio Petino, Knowledge Coordinator of EUSME Centre, who started with introduction of EUSME Centre and welcome greetings.

Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Treasurer, outlined the background and activities of China-Italy chamber of Commerce, highlighting the importance of activities organized by the CICC in cooperation with the other institutions.

Zoe Chen, China Chief Representative of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), illustrated general view of the China Fashion & Apparel consumption Market; specifically emphasized on marketing and cultural preferences of Chinese consumers, and business safety in terms of IP protection measures.

Gabriele Bessi, branch manager of Savino Del Bene Shanghai, and member of CICC’s Logistics Working Group, shared his knowledge on essential custom requirements for exporting fashion/apparel to China and cross-border ecommerce, which covered the main regulatory and compliance requirements that emerging brands must meet.

Lorenzo Riccardi, managing partner of RsA Asia and CICC treasurer, wrapped up the China international trade of year 2021, then shared insights in 2022’s Cross-border e-commerce, fashion trends, and tax, new free trade treaties, that are topics concerned by many emerging brands.

The webinar ended with an informative Q&A session, answered in detail seven questions raised by the online audience.
