Chongqing Municipality Delegation meets Italian Companies

Beijing - On Friday the 27th of March, it took place an open meeting with the Chongqing municipality delegation, which showed audience the opportunities and the special investment policies regarding their development area.

Chongqing is the water port of southwest China, a Yangtze water area and a central city in southwest China linking east and west China. In 2005 a total GDP of 310 billion Yuan was achieved, the per capita GDP reached US$1,400, being regarded as a most rapid developing city by the "Report on Investment Environment of Chinese Cities" issued by the World Bank.

To the meeting attended the CICC Chairman Davide Cucino, the CICC Secretary General Luisa Bergonzoni, a representative from the Italian Embassy in China and many Italian entrepreneurs. Following the meeting, teh companies could exchange ideas and contact information for further cooperation.

The meeting has been preliminary to the mission of the 15th and 16th of April, lead by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy to China, Mr. Riccardo Sessa, and organized by CICC regarding the B2B meetings wth the 20 Italian companies which have joined the mission.
