Cybersecurity Law (CSL) in China

Nowadays, all organizations are digital by default. Not only every organization delivers its products and services primarily through digital channels, but all operate with the cultures, technology and processes of the internet era. The World Economic Forum now rates a large-scale breach of cybersecurity as one of the five most serious risks facing the world today. Organizations in China are facing not only more sophisticated attackers, but compliance challenges posed by new and changing regulations. In this seminar, EY Cybersecurity team will share the insights of the latest status of cybersecurity regulations and threats in China.

Anson Chen

Manager Risk-Cyber Security, China at EY

Anson is a Manager of EY Advisory specializing in Cyber Security, IT Risk Management, and IT Governance. He has over 10 years relevant experience, familiar with best practice of security strategy planning, security governance, security operation, vendor security management, risk management, compliance management, data privacy protection.

Anson worked in the IT dept. of a global leading premium automotive company. He had extensive experience on the management of IT security function, and collaboration with various corporate functions to address the challenges regarding information security.

Vincent Guo

Manager Risk-Cyber Security, China at EY

Vincent is a manager at EY’s IT Cyber Security division and has 10 years experience in providing: Information security management, Data classification, protection & retention, ITIL based IT service management, IT audit and information security audit & assessment outsourcing IT contract & vendor governance, IT service performance improvement.

Daniel Albrecht

German attorney at law and Managing Counsel of Starke

Daniel Albrecht is a German attorney at law and Managing Counsel of Starke. Besides Daniel works as a Guest Professor for civil law at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing and is also external expert or the EU China IPR SME Helpdesk and a former member of the board of the German Chamber of Commerce in North China. He published several articles about Chinese IPR, E-Commerce and IT matters.

 

Samuel Yang

PRC licensed lawyer with AnJie Law Firm

Samuel Yang is a PRC licensed lawyer with AnJie Law Firm. He is an experienced lawyer on cybersecurity, data privacy and IT legal matters. He has worked as in-house counsel and external lawyer in the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) sectors for more than 15 years. He advises clients on a wide range of regulatory, commercial and corporate matters, especially in the areas of telecommunications, cybersecurity, data protection, e-commerce, social networking, online games, hardware and software, technology procurements and transfers, distribution and licensing, and other technology-related matters.

Samuel also advises clients on dispute resolution and employment matters. Before he joined AnJie, Samuel worked for British Telecom, CMS Cameron McKenna and DLA Piper.

Marco Gasparroni is regional director Greater China for Exprivia Group. Former Vice-President of the Italy Chamber of Commerce in China (CCIC), he is among the funders’ members and vice-chair of the CCIC Healthcare Working Group.

He has previously served as Executive Director of the EU-China Project Innovation Center, the innovation platform based in Chengdu and promoting business, investment and technical cooperation between the European Union and China.

Mr. Gasparroni has been driving multinational companies in establishing and developing their activities in China for more than 15 years: among other activities, he has served as CEO and CFO for leading corporations in telecommunication and media fields.
